Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the wild west in an excellent game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the croupier, unlike the majority of other poker games that players bet with other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to be concerned about any other, more skillful people winning their $$$$.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the house is given 7 cards faces hidden.
One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the 7 cards, the five card hand must be better than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the houses.
