Amateurs Strategy for Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the wild west in an excellent game for beginner level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the house, unlike the majority of other poker games that gamblers bet against other players. By playing against the dealer, new players don’t have to fret about other, more experienced gamblers taking their mulla.

An additional Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game play, newcomers can take their time and plan while not having to make frenzied selections.

It is also much simpler to enjoy for an extended time with only a tiny bit of cash after all, to not win, each of your hands must be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is assigned seven cards face up and the casino receives seven cards face down.

A 5 card hand and a two card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the houses.
