Howard Lederer lived in a family of 5 in which he enjoyed taking part in numerous card games when he was young. He discovered himself becoming very competitive in these particular card games as he was playing his dad. Howard also assisted his sister Annie Duke learn the game of poker. She was an excellent student of poker as she would always be asking questions about the right way to make the proper decision. Howard told Annie Duke to move out to Sin City and compete in the World Series of Poker competition. Annie Duke is one of the greatest women players the poker world has ever seen. Howard Lederer moved to Sin City in Nineteen Ninety Three and played money games for the subsequent 10 years. When the WPT gained popularity, he made the decision to play more tournaments.
