Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the western in an excellent game for new gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the croupier, unlike almost all other poker games that players play against other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, starting players do not need to worry about any other, more experienced individuals winning their cash.
A further Pai Gow advantage is the generally slow game pace, novices are able to take their time and plan while not having to make frenzied selections.
It’s also easier to enjoy for an extended time with just a tiny amount of cash since, to lose, each of your hands must be lower than each of the houses hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is dealt seven cards face up and the casino is dealt seven cards face down.
One five card hand and one 2 card hand have to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
