Caribbean Poker Codes and Tips

[ English ]

Internet poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the dealer rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the dealer announcing "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the house and of course all of the different gamblers are given five cards each. After you have observed your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you must in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s amount is equal to your beginning wager, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your wager goes instantaneously to the house. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, including a sum equal to the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The bank pays money even with your original bet and set expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
