Novice Tactics for Double-Hand Poker

Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the west in a great game for beginning level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler against the casino, unlike the majority of other poker games that gamblers play with other players. By wagering against the dealer, beginning players do not need to be concerned about other, more advanced individuals taking their cash.

A further Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game pace, beginners will be able to take their time and scheme without needing to make quick decisions.

It’s also easier to gamble on for a long time with just a little bit of money after all, to not win, both of your hands must be lower than each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards faces showing and the house is given seven cards face down.

A 5 card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards, the five card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the casino’s.
